We are delighted to share the addition of our newest advisor, Maaike Steinebach!
She is extremely accomplished with 25 years of experience in the financial services industry including being the CEO of Visa in Hong Kong and Macau and is now an advocate for women’s health. Her expertise includes strategy, business development and innovation.
The following is an interview conducted with Maaike so you can get to know her better and understand why she chose to be MixCare Health’s advisor.
Q: What drew you to MixCare Health?
A: Following Covid I felt that a growing number of employees relied on their employers to take care of their well-being. This started during covid with masks and sanitisers and work from home office equipment to gym equipment. So I was pleasantly surprised to find out MixCare Health actually caters for this through their innovative well being rewards platform. It gives the employees the option to choose activities for their self care routine and their well being that matches their needs. I am excited about that as I strongly feel the future of healthcare and well being is personalised as everyone is different and has different needs.
Q: What excites you about MixCare Healths future?
A: I am very passionate about women’s health and well-being so hoping to support MixCare in personalising the platform even more to cater to their needs. I also feel everyone should have these self care options so excited to work with insurers and corporates to support their employee benefit program but also the Mixcare expansion into the rest of Asia.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I love long distance swimming, going to the gym three times a week, yoga, facials and pedicures monthly. I also see a therapist regularly for the maintenance of my mental well-being. My needs are different than others so I love that MixCare health offers that personalised approach too.
Q: What lead you to go into healthcare?
A: I believe everyone deserves a healthy lifestyle and am excited about the innovation that is happening in the healthcare space to make that healthy lifestyle accessible to everyone. I love that I can now work with the best healthcare start ups in the region. Alex, Jason, Ben and Kelvin are very committed to this space and I am very excited to be working with them.
